Novaschool British Camp Day 5 – 2nd Time

Málaga, 12th July, 2014. During Friday’s session, campers have practiced some adventure games over the swimming pool, have made a step forward in robotics and also with their English lessons.

This time, campers have been using the rope bridge and the zip line over the swimming pool. It means that if they fail they fall into the water!! They found it really entertaining to do it over the pool, always supervised by their monitors.

In the afternoon, one of the groups continued with their English lessons. They are learning some English lyrics and they have realized that British and Spanish children sing the same songs, as the play the same games at the street.

The day finished with an English Cinema Evening. The teenagers could watch Pacific Rim and children did Johny English. One day left, after a few exhausting and busy days

Novaschool British Camp Day 4 – 2nd Time

Málaga, 11th July, 2014. During Thursday’s session, campers have developed new experiments and lived a terrifying night experience.

In the morning, younger campers have been using the rope bridges and the zip line at the Novaschool British Camp forest. Meanwhile, older campers have been developing new experiments. They have enjoyed the home made missile. It is not dangerous. To do it at home, you just need an empty plastic bottle, a cork, water, vinegar, paper napkins and baking soda, always supervised by their monitors.

The day ended with a terrifying evening. After dinner, campers found cobwebs, smoky atmosphere and scary movie characters from the cinema. The hunchback guide, ugly and with a very bad looking face, came and collected the campers five by five and made the journey through the Novaschool British Camp Haunted House with them. To leave the house they needed to find the key but they couldn’t as they run too much to notice there where something on the table.

Novaschool British Camp Day 3 – 2nd Time

Málaga, 10th July, 2014. During Wednesday’s session, campers have come into the forest to slide between trees, have developed new experiments and have made a step forward in robotics and also with their English lessons.

It is time to look for new exciting adventures! Campers have been enjoying the ropes bridges that connect some the trees at the adventure forest of Novaschool British Camp. Later, they used the zip line that connects from one side to the other at the forest and, what is more exciting, through the trees. It has been a truly exciting experience, always supervised by their instructors.

Every day, there is always a break at the kiosk and at the swimming pool. However, the smaller campers don’t understand yet the meanings of the word relax and they go straight to play waterpolo or practice any other water sports.

The day ended with a summer cinema evening. Today the screen played was Harry Potter while the others have been watching the World Cup match Netherland – Argentina.

Novaschool British Camp Day 2 – 2nd Time

Málaga, 9th July, 2014. Another day another game! During Tuesday’s session, campers have alternated amazing experiments, robotics sessions and the World Cup with English Lessons.

Today, the campers have been building small volcanoes during their science workshops, always under their monitors’ supervision. It can sound weird but they liked it so much that they decided to get paper and pencil, banned tools for holidays, and to write down the materials so they can remember what they need in case they want to do it at home. To do this, it is required plastic bottles, water, food coloring, vegetable oil and Alka Seltzer (fizzy tablets).

In the meanwhile, the other campers have learned to read plans and instructions to build their first LEGO and they have inserted their first coordinates into the system to control their mobile machines around the floor.

The day finished with a great football atmosphere. Although just one of the monitors likes football, some of the campers decided to watch the semifinal of the World Cup, Brazil – Germany, while the others enjoyed a cinema summer session with Pirates of the Caribbean, both on a big screen.

Novaschool British Camp Day 1 – 2nd time

Novaschool British Camp, 8th July, 2014.  The second week has started at the Novaschool British Camp and life goes happily and busily on. During Monday’s session, campers have had the opportunity to experience new and exciting adventures in the natural context of the Novaschool British Camp facilities, at Estación de Cártama.

In the morning, some of the campers have practiced, for their first time, climbing through the boulder wall which had to be climbed sideways. It is just 1.5m high, especially designed for children and beginners. These games consisted on moving from one point to the other, avoiding some of the handgrips, collecting objects in the way, signing and drawing papers and trying to return back to the starting point.

During their afternoon English lessons, new campers have started their first written project. They are writing a Novaschool British Camp Diary about their experiences on campus. Here they write down from their feelings and expectations to their description of activities.

The day ended with a pirate surprise. After the dinner, the campers were astonished by a sudden pirate fight. They were fighting over a hidden treasure which the students had to discover at the Novaschool British Camp. After it, they began the search in teams that led them to run around the campus, while campers heard macaws, monkeys and other sounds from the jungle.

Novaschool British Camp Day 5

Málaga, 4th July, 2014. During Friday’s session, campers have being cooking as professional chefs at their cooking workshops to relax themselves after their English lessons. Meanwhile, monitors, always in danger, tasted their meals.

While older campers have prepared their first cupcakes with cream and muffins, younger ones have been doing chocolate cookies. Both, muffins and cookies tasted well. However, the texture of cookies was a bit too hard. Isn’t, monitors?

The day was about the Anglo-Saxon cuisine and the British desserts, so it had to finish with an American barbecue. Leo got his apron and delighted campers and also some lost parents with chicken brochettes and burgers made in Novaschool British Camp.

The day ended with a disco evening. Deejay Luc has been teaching campers throughout the week with the HI-FI. So all of them took part at night to play English pop music, Latino, Macarena and dance music.

Novaschool British Camp Day 4

Málaga, 3rd July, 2014. During Thursday’s session, campers have disassembled computers, have developed new experiments and lived a terrifying night experience.

In the morning, younger campers have been using the rope bridges and the zip line at the Novaschool British Camp forest. Meanwhile, older campers have been taking to pieces computers and learning to identify everyone. Unfortunately, after assembling computers again too many pieces left over!

“Dad, can I have a soft drink.” In the afternoon, they learned how to make their own lemonade in science classes. To do it at home, it is very simple and requires only water, lemon, baking soda and sugar. The second experiment was good fun; they still wonder how a balloon, full of water, can’t blow up when it is exposed to a Bunsen burner.

The day ended with a terrifying evening. After dinner, campers found cobwebs, smoky atmosphere and scary movie characters from the cinema. The hunchback guide, ugly and with a very bad looking face, came and collected the camper five by five and made the journey through the Novaschool British Camp Haunted House with them.
