At Novaschool British Camp, students receive four daily sessions of English classes taught by native speakers. These sessions are modele don the Cambridge approach with four key areas: speaking, listening, reading and writing, with each teacher focused on one of these areas. Students will be grouped in order to work on each one of these areas, with drama, music and crafts incorporated. For us at the Novaschool British Camp, it is important that students receive fun and interactive classes as we believe that it is easier to learn when having fun.
The main objective for the Novaschool British Camp is for students to learn and refine their English in a enjoyable and fun way. This is possible due to the fact that the camp´s staff is made up entirely of native teachers who are specialised in teaching English and who have acquired their training abroad.
The diversity of activities on offer enriches the student´s language and vocabulary and they also have the opportunity to speak in different contexts, as a different topic will be the main focus for each day. In order to enhance knowledge and vocabulary acquired at school, students will keep a diary in English and will have the help of teachers for this. They will also be able to improve their oral expression through sports and recreational activities in which they have the support of monitors who will help correct and improve their language.
We recommend and encourage students to carry out a mock exam of the oficial University of Cambridge exams to cement what they learn in class and to perfect their language.
Levels and contents
Each student will have a placement test at the beginning of camp in order to distribute groups fairly based on level and age. All our courses follow the syllabus for the official University of Cambridge exams.
In addition to daily English classe, we aim for students to speak in English at all times in a a spontaneous and natural manner through a programme of entertainment, and sports and leisure activities , all of which are conducted in English. This encourages new vocabulary learning and comprehension.
Reports and certificates
At the end of the camp, each student will receive a report on their evolution in terms of language acquisition based on the requirements of Cambridge ESOL, as well as a certificate to prove they have completed our course. We also offer advice on the Cambridge application process.
